Founders, John Stix and Jody Schnarr, brought their knowledge and experience as pioneers of VoIP communications in Canada to build Fibernetics. Founded as an Internet Service Provider, Fibernetics quickly grew to develop Canada’s very first commercially viable phone-to-phone communication service utilizing voice over Internet protocol.

Fibernetics’ management team has a combined 70 years of telecom and Internet experience and is working to push the boundaries of the domestic and global telecom market. Founded in 1997, Fibernetics currently employs over 200 staff, with a head office in the heart of Canada’s high tech region, Cambridge, Ontario. Today, Fibernetics owns one of Canada's largest coast-to-coast networks and supports over 300,000 customers.
