Role Description The Mortgage Agent role at FIN Mortgage is a full-time hybrid position based in Scarborough, ON, with flexibility for some work-from-home days. In this role, the Mortgage Agent will help clients assess their financing needs, recommend suitable mortgage products, and guide them through the application, approval, and closing process. Daily responsibilities include meeting with clients (in person and virtually), collecting and reviewing documentation, liaising with lenders and other partners, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards. The Mortgage Agent will also support mortgage marketing activities, such as following up on leads, maintaining client relationships, and contributing to educational content that supports clients’ mortgage decisions. This role requires a focus on accurate information, ethical practices, and a strong commitment to client service.
Qualifications
- Experience in the mortgage industry, with knowledge of current regulations, products, and market trends.
- Skills in mortgage lending and mortgage servicing, including assessing client eligibility, structuring deals, and managing files through funding.
- Understanding of mortgages and mortgage marketing, including generating leads, nurturing client relationships, and explaining complex concepts clearly.
- Valid mortgage agent or broker license (or eligibility to obtain one) in Ontario.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment and collaborate with clients and team members.
- Attention to detail, high ethical standards, and strong organizational skills to manage multiple client files and deadlines.
- Comfort with digital tools and CRM systems; prior experience in financial services or real estate is an asset.
