Finning is seeking a Service Coordinator to join our Grande Prairie team. In this role, you will be a critical link between customers, service teams, and internal stakeholders, helping drive efficient repair execution and supporting the delivery of world-class service.
As a Service Coordinator, you will oversee administrative coordination throughout the maintenance and repair process, from service request creation through to final invoice readiness. Your strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage competing priorities will contribute directly to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Job Description:
Service Request & Planning
- Coordinate and prepare service request documentation to support Maintenance Customer Order (MCO) creation.
- Compile customer account information, service history, warranty details, marketing programs, and supporting documentation.
- Review service scope, budget, and schedule requirements to ensure accuracy and alignment.
- Identify risks, concerns, or potential impacts to service delivery and communicate them proactively.
- Support governance and quality control processes before repair work begins.
Service & Repair Coordination
- Partner with Service Supervisors, Service Support Representatives, and technicians during repair execution.
- Maintain accurate updates in service systems, scheduling tools, and job documentation.
- Coordinate transportation, contractor services, site access requirements, and technician clearances as needed.
- Schedule and support pre-job, mid-job, and post-job meetings.
- Track repair progress, monitor commitments, identify risks, and escalate issues when necessary.
- Support warranty, goodwill, and cost adjustment processes throughout the repair lifecycle.
MCO Closure & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all documentation, labour entries, billing requirements, inspections, and service reports are complete.
- Coordinate final review activities and support invoice readiness.
- Monitor closure timelines and drive timely resolution of deficiencies.
- Maintain accurate and complete records in accordance with Service Excellence standards.

Preferred Experience
- 2-4 years of experience in: Service or maintenance coordination Document control Process administration Dealership operations Construction, oilfield, forestry, mining, or heavy equipment industries Field or shop service support environments
Preferred Education
- Post-secondary education in: Business Administration Administrative Management Accounting Business Management Related disciplines
