Position Overview:
At Finning, our technicians rely on having the right tools at the right time. As Tooling Supervisor, you'll lead the strategy, operations, and continuous improvement of our national tooling program, ensuring teams across the business have access to safe, reliable, and innovative tooling solutions.
From Tool Hub leadership and asset management to technology implementation and process optimization, you'll play a critical role in improving productivity, supporting operational excellence, and driving consistency across our network. This is an exciting opportunity for a collaborative leader who thrives on innovation, accountability, and delivering measurable business results.
We anticipate the base salary for this position will be between $100-$110. Actual salary will be based on the candidate’s experience.
Location: Surrey, BC
Schedule: Monday to Friday | 37.5 hours/week
Job Description:
- Lead and continuously improve Finning Canada's tooling strategy, programs, and processes.
- Oversee Tool Hub operations, tooling deployment, asset management, inventory control, calibration, and repair programs.
- Ensure tooling resources are available, properly maintained, and aligned with operational requirements across the business.
- Drive standardization, consistency, and best practices for tooling operations nationwide.
- Partner with technicians, supervisors, branch leaders, vendors, and OEM partners to improve safety, productivity, and technician effectiveness.
- Lead the implementation and adoption of tooling technologies and digital solutions.
- Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance and business results.
- Develop team capability, drive accountability, and support organizational change initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in a technical, business, operations, supply chain, or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Several years of experience in tooling, maintenance, service operations, asset management, heavy equipment, industrial operations, or a related field.
- Experience leading teams, projects, programs, or operational improvement initiatives.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, asset lifecycle management, maintenance practices, and operational processes.
- Proven ability to lead change, influence stakeholders, and drive adoption of new systems and technologies.
