Short-Form Content Producer
Contract / Part-Time | Newmarket / East Gwillimbury, ON
Firm Five is looking for a local content creator to help us build a consistent short-form video content machine.
This isn’t a traditional marketing job.
We’re looking for someone who can show up, hit record, turn raw conversations into great short-form content, and keep the machine running every single week.
The role
You’ll meet with Firm Five’s founder in East Gwillimbury approximately once per week for a 45–60 minute content shoot.
We’ll have the ideas and topics ready.
Your job is to:
- Show up and run the shoot
- Film short-form talking-head content using an iPhone or professional camera
- Help with basic framing, lighting and audio
- Occasionally shoot outside or around the neighbourhood to keep the content visually interesting
- Take the raw footage home and identify the strongest clips/takes
- Edit them into clean, engaging short-form videos
- Make simple cuts and edits that improve pacing
- Export everything in the right format for LinkedIn/social
- Deliver finished files quickly and consistently
We’re aiming to publish approximately 3 videos per week, so consistency matters more to us than complicated production.
We don’t need cinematic editing.
We want content that feels natural, current and founder-led - with clean audio, good framing, strong captions and tight editing.
CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve or similar are all fine. We care much more about the finished product than what software you use.
What we’re really looking for
You might be a freelance videographer, content creator, marketing student, recent graduate or someone already creating social content. It doesn’t really matter as long as you’re reliable.
You should:
- Live in or near Newmarket / East Gwillimbury
- Be comfortable filming someone on camera
- Understand what makes short-form content engaging
- Have a good eye for framing and composition
- Know how to edit vertical social video
- Be reliable and consistent
- Turn content around quickly
- Be comfortable working independently without a lot of management
Most importantly, we want someone who executes.
We want to block the shoot into the calendar, have you show up, create a bunch of accounting content together, and know that finished videos will appear shortly afterward.
Bonus: Social Media & Creative
Logistics
Location: East Gwillimbury / Newmarket, Ontario (office steps from bus stop)
Type: Independent contractor
Time commitment: Approximately one in-person shoot per week + remote editing
Shoot length: Typically 45–60 minutes
To apply
Don’t send us a long cover letter.

- A little bit about yourself

- Examples of short-form content you’ve filmed or edited
- What equipment you currently use
- Your availability
