Firma Contracting is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the delivery of underground infrastructure and municipal construction projects in Edmonton and surrounding areas.
Working alongside Project Managers, field leadership, vendors and other project stakeholders, this role helps keep projects organized from pre-construction through closeout. The position includes a combination of project administration, purchasing, cost and schedule tracking, document control, and coordination between the office and field teams.

Compensation: $70,000–$80,000 annually or $30.00–$35.00/hour, depending on experience
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Coordinate day-to-day project requirements with Project Managers and field leadership
- Monitor project timelines, upcoming activities, deliverables and key milestones
- Arrange the purchase and delivery of construction materials, equipment and other project requirements
- Communicate with suppliers and vendors regarding pricing, availability, lead times and deliveries
- Maintain organized and accurate project files throughout the lifecycle of each project
- Prepare, distribute and track RFIs, submittals, change documentation, meeting records and project correspondence
- Assist with tracking project expenditures, committed costs and budget information
- Review construction drawings, specifications and other project documents to identify coordination requirements
- Maintain quality-related records and assist with required project reporting
- Coordinate information between Project Managers, field crews, subcontractors, consultants, clients and suppliers
- Follow up on outstanding project items to help keep work progressing according to schedule
- Assist with turnover, deficiency tracking and project closeout documentation
- Provide administrative and coordination support to the project team as priorities change
- Follow Firma’s health, safety and environmental procedures while maintaining a professional standard of conduct
What We’re Looking For:
- 2–5 years of Project Coordinator experience within water and sewer, underground utilities, municipal construction or heavy civil construction
- Previous involvement with underground infrastructure projects
- Practical experience coordinating construction materials, purchasing and suppliers
- Experience monitoring construction schedules, project costs and overall progress
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and related documentation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate project records
- Ability to organize competing deadlines and priorities across multiple projects or work activities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable communicating with both field personnel and external project stakeholders
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driver’s abstract
Additional Assets:
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management or a related discipline
- Previous experience delivering municipal water, sewer or underground infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with construction or project management software
