Manager, Enhanced Service Coordination
Full-time Position
Location: Edmonton or Calgary
The Manager of Enhanced Service Coordination provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Enhanced Service Coordination team.
The Manager is responsible for ensuring children and families experience coordinated access through applications for health, education, social, cultural, and developmental services. This role leads a multidisciplinary team of coordinators, strengthens relationships with First Nations communities and external partners, and drives a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will be passionate about advancing equitable access to services for First Nations children while fostering collaboration across systems to address complex needs and improve long-term outcomes. The position provides leadership, direction, and oversight to FNHC’s Enhanced Service Coordination program by developing and implementing program goals, priorities, and service delivery strategies, by aligning service coordination practices within the Jordan's Principle – Child First Initiative. The Manager will promote innovative and child-centered approaches to service coordination by leading continuous quality improvement initiatives, supervise, coach, mentor, and support enhanced service coordination Team.

A key role of the position is overseeing complex and high-needs cases requiring escalation or intervention, monitoring service quality and consistency across the coordination team and building on and maintaining effective relationships.
The role is responsible for identifying emerging trends, unmet needs, and opportunities to improve service delivery, and lead planning initiatives that enhance access to services, develop policies, procedures, and best practices while strengthening work of enhanced service coordination by supporting implementation of new programs and initiatives, establishing and monitoring program performance and monitoring program performance indicators. The position requires a strong ability to analyze service trends and outcome data and to develop reports and recommendations for senior leadership.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in social work, Human Services, Education, Child and Youth Care, or related field.
Qualifications
- Minimum five years of progressive leadership experience in human services, child and family services, healthcare, education, Indigenous services, or related sectors.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience working with Indigenous children, youth, families, and communities.
- Experience in service coordination, case management, program leadership, or systems navigation.
- Knowledge of Jordan's Principle and related child-serving systems.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience working in or closely with First Nations people and communities, with demonstrated cultural knowledge and competencies.
- Highly proficient using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Working Conditions
Office job; frequent travel is required.
