BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP MANAGER
Please note: This role is 5 days per week onsite at our client's North York office location (nearest main intersection is Dufferin St & Finch Avenue W.). Candidates must be able to commute daily to this location, Mon-Fri during regular business hours.
Job Summary:
Our client, a growing financial services organization that provides working capital solutions to small and mid-sized businesses, is seeking a Business Relationship Manager to manage relationships with partner sales organizations (3rd party sales agents) and facilitate the deal process from submission to completion.
As the primary day-to-day contact for partner sales representatives, you will coordinate communication between external partners and internal teams, proactively advance deals through the funding process, and keep stakeholders informed of progress. You will also oversee contract administration, coordinate signatures, track renewals, and support underwriting by ensuring documentation is accurate, complete, and processed efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Build and manage strong partner relationships through responsive service and consistent deal follow-up to drive successful closings.
- Maintain an accurate deal pipeline, providing regular status updates and proactively escalating at-risk opportunities.
- Coordinate declines, counteroffers, and resubmissions across lending partners to keep deals moving forward.
- Coordinate communication between account associates and underwriting, ensuring timely responses, complete documentation, and compliance throughout the deal process.
- Review, prepare, and manage contracts and supporting documents, including signature collection and renewal initiation.
- Oversee multiple concurrent deals, prioritizing tasks to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and on-time completion.
Position Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role, managing relationships with third-party sales partners and supporting underwriting within the financial services industry, is preferred.
- Self-motivated and proactive by nature, with strong problem-solving skills, high learning ability and persistence in driving results.
- Excellent customer service, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented and compliance-focused, with proficiency in CRM and documentation management systems.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of responsibilities and ensure consistent follow-through to completion.
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting or Business.
