Location: Greater Toronto Area
Employment: Full-time
Schedule: In office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; work from home Wednesday
Base salary: C80,000–C120,000 annually, depending on experience, portfolio and demonstrated results

About Fitbox

Founded in September 2023, Fitbox has grown into Canada’s largest Asian meal prep company. We grew 640% last year, and our ambition is clear: become the largest meal prep company in Canada.

We move fast, set high expectations and give people real responsibility. We’re building a team of exceptional people who want to make a visible impact and develop their careers as the business grows.

For a talented content creator, this is an opportunity to help shape a growing consumer brand. You’ll have access to our food, kitchen, team and production equipment, with the creative ownership to turn those resources into content people want to watch. Your work will directly influence how people discover Fitbox, connect with our brand and become customers.

Who thrives here

You’ve consistently been a high performer. You learn quickly, take initiative and hold yourself to a high standard without needing someone to chase you.

You may be the person who gets twice as much done as others while maintaining excellent quality. If you’ve felt frustrated on teams where decisions take too long or good ideas rarely become action, you may find our pace refreshing.

We value speed, judgment and follow-through. You should be comfortable with direct feedback, ambitious goals and priorities that evolve as we learn. In return, you’ll have room to contribute ideas, see your work go live quickly and earn greater responsibility through your results.

The role

We’re hiring a Senior Content Creator who can independently take content from the first idea to the final published post.

You’ll research audiences, develop concepts, write scripts, plan shoots, film, edit and publish. We want someone who combines strong creative instincts with excellent production skills - and understands how to turn attention into customer interest and purchases.

This is a hands-on creation role. You must be comfortable producing complete videos yourself, without relying on a separate camera operator, editor or production crew.

What you’ll do
Own the complete production process: Research, idea generation, scripting, shoot planning, filming, editing, captions, covers and pu
blishing.Creat
e compelling short-form videos: Produce content for Instagram Reels, Rednote/Xiaohongshu and other relevant platforms, adapting each piece to its audience.Bring
Fitbox to life: Shoot food, kitchen activity, lifestyle content, vlogs, behind-the-scenes moments and customer or team stories.
Develop original ideas: Build recurring content series, fresh concepts and campaign ideas that give people a reason to follow and engage with Fitbox.
Create campaign visuals: Design social graphics and promotional posters that communicate clearly and fit our brand.
Support customer growth: Produce organic content and advertising creative that encourage inquiries and purchases.
Learn from performance: Test hooks, pacing, formats and storytelling approaches. Use audience retention, engagement and conversion data to improve your work.
Deliver consistently: Manage your production schedule, meet deadlines and keep footage, assets and project files organised.
Collaborate well: Work with the marketing team, contribute constructive feedback and take ownership of your projects.
What we’re looking for
More than three years of relevant content creation, video production or social media experience.
A strong portfolio showing videos you personally completed from idea development through shooting, editing and publishing.
Strong skills in composition, lighting, audio, editing, pacing and visual storytelling.
The ability to independently produce polished content with a practical production setup.
Experience creating social graphics or campaign posters.
Evidence of consistently producing effective content, with an understanding of why it performed.
Strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to deliver quickly.
Openness to feedback and a habit of testing, learning and improving.
Chinese language skills are not required.
What will help you stand out
A personal social media account with 50,000+ authentic followers.
Experience creating successful content for a larger business or established consumer brand.
Experience in food, fitness, wellness, lifestyle or consumer e-commerce.
Strong food videography and photography skills.
Experience filming and editing engaging vlogs.
A track record of growing personal or company accounts through original content.
Experience with Rednote/Xiaohongshu.
Evidence that your content generated customer inquiries, purchases or other measurable business results.
A personal following is a strong plus, but it is not required. We also value creators who have done exceptional work behind company or client accounts.

Within six months, we plan to select a Marketing Team Lead from within the team. You will have the opportunity to be considered alongside other team members based on performance, ownership, collaboration and demonstrated leadership ability.
We’ll look for someone who can help others succeed, set clear priorities and take responsibility for team results. Promotion is not guaranteed and would include a separate review of responsibilities and compensation.

Please distinguish between personal content and work for employers or clients.
2.Can you produce a video entirely on your own?
Share one example you took from an idea through shooting, editing and publishing. Describe your process, equipment, software and approximate time spent.
3.Have you shot and edited vlogs before?
Share one or two examples and explain which parts you handled yourself.
4.Have you shot food before?
Share examples, if available, and briefly explain your approach to lighting, styling and making the food look appealing.

7.Which production and design tools can you use confidently?
List your main editing and design software, along with the cameras, lighting, audio equipment and stabilisers you have used.
Our hiring process
Following the initial application and portfolio review, shortlisted candidates will complete three stages:
1. Take-home creative assignment
We will provide footage and a campaign brief. You will:
Create a 30–60-second Instagram Reel or Rednote short video using the supplied footage.
Design a campaign poster based on the requirements we provide.
Video creation and campaign design will form a substantial part of your day-to-day work, so this assignment gives us practical evidence of your ability to deliver the work the role requires.
The assignment is for hiring evaluation only. We will not publish your submissions on our accounts. We will share the deliverables, expected time commitment and submission deadline in advance.
2. Technical content creation interview
This interview will focus primarily on your understanding of content creation and your ability to make sound creative and technical decisions.
We’ll explore audience understanding, idea generation, hooks, storytelling, shoot planning, camera technique, lighting, audio, editing, design, platform differences and performance analysis. We want to understand how you approach content, solve production problems and identify what makes a piece effective.
Your portfolio and assignment may serve as examples, but the discussion will cover your broader knowledge and experience across the full production process.
3. HR and team interview
We’ll discuss your working style, communication, collaboration, career goals and expectations, including how you approach feedback, ownership and working in a fast-moving team.
