The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost performance across manufacturing operations at Five Seasons / Electro Air.
This role provides technical expertise and hands-on engineering support for fabrication, assembly, equipment, tooling, and production processes. The Manufacturing Engineer works closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Materials teams to resolve manufacturing issues, improve process reliability, support new product introductions, and ensure products are manufactured in accordance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and production requirements.
We are actively hiring 3-4 manufacturing engineers to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in manufacturing engineering, metal fabrication, process development, and continuous improvement, with the ability to translate engineering requirements into practical, efficient, and repeatable manufacturing processes.
Major Responsibilities
- Ensure work orders are completed for the parts required to build the planned units in accordance with the production plan, while controlling labor, workflow, downtime, scrap, and material usage.
- Provide technical support for fabrication and assembly operations, including CNC machines, punching equipment, brake presses, and related manufacturing processes.
- Responsible for quality and quantity produced in one or multiple production departments.
- Support new product introduction (NPI), prototype builds, production trials, engineering changes, and the implementation of new manufacturing processes.
- Identify and resolve manufacturing issues related to equipment, tooling, materials, product quality, and process performance.
- Develop and improve tooling, fixtures, setup procedures, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and other problem-solving methodologies.
Equipment, Tooling, and Technical Support
- Provide technical support for CNC machines, brake presses, punching equipment, and other fabrication and manufacturing machinery.
- Support CNC programming, machine setup optimization, tooling selection, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Develop, improve, and implement tooling, dies, punches, jigs, fixtures, and other manufacturing aids.
- Collaborate with Maintenance and Production teams to troubleshoot equipment-related issues, reduce downtime, and improve equipment reliability.
- Evaluate new manufacturing technologies, equipment, and automation opportunities to improve operational performance.
Strong preference will be provided to candidates who posses:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- strong hands-on knowledge of metal fabrication processes and equipment.
- Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications.
Nice to have:
- Experience with brake presses, punching machines and punching machine programming is a plus.
- Working knowledge of dies, punches, tooling, fixtures is a plus.
- Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma knowledge is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience with new product introduction, process validation, and engineering change implementation is preferred.
