Role Overview
Our client has adopted the Prosci/ADKAR methodology for organizational change management. The Organizational Change Manager will support assigned projects by assessing the magnitude and impact of change, planning targeted OCM activities, and creating and delivering change management outputs aligned with established standards and best practices.
The successful candidate will functionally report to the Project Manager and work with the Business Lead, project team members, sponsors, and affected stakeholders to support readiness, adoption, and sustained change.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Project Manager, Business Lead, and project team to understand assigned initiatives and assess the magnitude of change from the current state through post-implementation.
- Maintain organizational change management documentation in accordance with project standards and guidance.
- Apply Prosci/ADKAR methodology and the standards established by Change and Business Solutions.
- Facilitate discussions to identify stakeholders, understand impacts, and clarify change needs.
- Define actionable and targeted OCM activities for inclusion in the overall project plan.
- Develop change management strategies and plans, communication plans, sponsor engagement materials and reports, training plans, reinforcement plans, and resistance management plans.
- Conduct readiness assessments, evaluate findings, identify risks, issues, and anticipated resistance, and recommend appropriate actions.
- Prepare and deliver updates, training, workshops, and stakeholder communications.
- Share knowledge that supports the progressive improvement of change management standards and practices.
- Work independently while collaborating effectively with project team members and stakeholders.
Mandatory Qualifications
• Formal training in change management and a current Prosci/ADKAR certification; a copy of the certificate must be provided.
• Ability to work full-time onsite at Head Office in Regina, Saskatchewan, Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Experience leading organizational change management activities on IT projects, including systems or digital transformation initiatives.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong knowledge of change management frameworks and practical experience applying them to project delivery.
- Experience assessing stakeholder impacts and facilitating discussions to understand the effects of change.
- Experience developing and delivering integrated change strategies, plans, communications, sponsor reporting, training, reinforcement, and resistance management activities.
- Experience conducting readiness assessments, interpreting results, and recommending actions to address risks, issues, and resistance.
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project delivery approaches and the ability to align change activities with project timelines.
- Experience maintaining accurate project and organizational change management documentation.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to lead workshops, training, and project updates.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Experience and Assets
- Gas industry or utility knowledge.
- Experience with a natural gas transmission and storage organization.
- North American work experience.
