Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan (TSX:ELD) is seeking a Metallurgist to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working a 14/14 rotation.

As part of the Metallurgical Team, the Metallurgist is responsible for optimizing processes to enhance mill metallurgical performance leading to improved metal recovery and concentrate grades, quality control and compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Laboratory and plant testing is an integral part of this job.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform daily metallurgical balance and monthly production reconciliations.
- Conduct laboratory flotation tests on ore or plant samples to evaluate and optimize metallurgical performance.
- Plan, lead and execute plant trials and sampling campaigns.
- Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot on-stream analyzers.
- Monitor metallurgical processes to support efficient production, product quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate production databases and ensure timely data entry and validation.
- Monitor and maintain mill media and reagent inventories and consumption rates.
- Contribute to mill and metallurgical standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and improve plant performance.
- Manage laboratory activities, including sample submission, testing, and equipment maintenance.
- Provide technical support to plant operations, troubleshoot metallurgical problems, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards in all metallurgical activities.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies in metallurgy.
Job Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
- 3+ years’ experience in mineral processing operations.
- Knowledge of mineral processing process units including crushing, grinding, flotation, dewatering.
- Experience with laboratory testing equipment, data analysis, and metallurgical balancing software.
- Problem-solving skills to analyze complex metallurgical challenges and recommend effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Previous experience with process modeling software (JK SimMet), process trending (PI Vision) and statistical analysis software or tools is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $95,000 - $115,000/year based on experience and qualifications, along with an annual discretionary short-term incentive award at a percentage of base salary, rewarding exceptional contributions to team and company success.
