Activities / Main Tasks / Responsibilities
- Design and optimize machining programs using Mastercam, G. code, Mazatrol and FANUC software
- Direct machining plans and ranges on digital machines in order to make manufacturing as profitable as possible
- Determine the lengths of materials to be cut according to the quantities to be produced as well as validate the data in the ERP system before putting it into production
- Ensure that you have a clear, complete and up-to-date machining range to facilitate interpretation
- Make changes to programs according to machinists' requests
- Participate in the search for new work tools
- Visualize the final design result in the factory for professional development and future improvement
- Participate in the design of machining jigs
- Supporting machinists during the implementation of new parts
- Draw new jigs (tooling for holding parts during machining) with the MasterCam tool
- Management of raw material losses (plastic used on the router)
Knowledge & Skills Required
- Spatial visualization
- Have worked on CNC machines before

- Have a good knowledge of speeds and feeds to be used in different materials and tools
- Proficiency in programming language (Mastercam an asset)
- Have a basic knowledge of G-codes and/or manufacturing software directly on machines (Mazatrol, FANUC, etc.)

Education & Experience
- DEP in machining techniques combined with an ASP in numerical control OR a DEC in mechanical engineering
- Possess 2 to 3 years of CNC programming experience
Experience in industrial design
