About the Role:
The successful candidate will partner closely with hiring managers, provide full-cycle recruitment coaching, build processes and partnerships that strengthen candidate pipelines, enhance recruitment tools and promote consistent, efficient, and high-quality hiring practices across the organization. Key areas of accountability include:
- Recruitment Coaching: Coach and support hiring managers on recruitment strategies, selection practices, labour-market conditions, wage competitiveness, relocation support, scheduling options, and other hiring considerations.
- Talent Sourcing and Pipelines: Develop creative approaches to attract active and passive candidates, including targeted sourcing campaigns, rural recruitment strategies, and partnerships with secondary and post-secondary schools.
- Recruitment Systems and Process Improvement: Support the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of the Applicant Tracking System and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and the candidate and hiring manager experience.
- Full-Cycle Recruitment (10%): Lead recruitment for key and hard-to-fill roles, including job advertising, candidate sourcing, résumé screening, interviewing, reference checking, offer preparation, and candidate follow-up.
- Employment Brand and Recruitment Marketing: Create clear and compelling recruitment content for Fountain Tire’s careers website, social media channels, in-store advertising, and seasonal recruitment campaigns.
- Labour-Market Research: Monitor recruitment, compensation, scheduling, and workforce trends within the automotive and skilled-trades markets and translate findings into practical recommendations.
- Events and Community Outreach: Represent Fountain Tire at career fairs, trade shows, school events, and industry functions to promote employment opportunities and build candidate pipelines.
- Training and HR Support: Develop and deliver recruitment-related education for managers, and provide backup support to the broader Human Resources team.

Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- 5+ years in a direct sourcing or as an HR Generalist with a recruitment focus
- Demonstrated success sourcing, pipelining, selecting, and closing talent, including recruitment for rural locations and non-professional roles.
- Strong knowledge of effective recruitment practices, including behaviour-based interviewing and online attraction methods.
- Demonstrated ability to identify the competencies required for success and assess candidates against those requirements.
- Strong consultative, customer-service, organizational, communication, listening, persuasion, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, collaborate effectively, and maintain a positive, self-motivated approach in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel up to 10% to attend events and source candidates.
- Familiarity with skilled-trades regulations and programs across Canada is an asset.
- Experience with Temporary Foreign Worker programs is preferred.
- Experience in the automotive aftermarket industry is an asset.
