Position Summary: The Overnight Snowmaking Technician is responsible for efficient operation of snowmaking machinery and equipment to ensure adequate and sufficient amounts of snow are made for our guests to enjoy. The hours for this position will be 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Complete all snowmaking operations and other tasks as assigned.
- Operate, inspect, and maintain snowmaking equipment.
- Perform basic mechanical maintenance and welding as required.
- Install and maintain protective padding around snowmaking hydrants, lift towers, etc.
- Operate snowmobiles with care and caution at all times.
- Communicate and work alongside other snow makers and snow plant operators.
- Perform outdoor general labour as needed.
Qualifications:
- 18 years or older.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Previous experience in snowmaking is considered an asset.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work flexible shifts to meet the demands of the coming ski season.
- Ability to complete repetitive tasks that include bending and twisting.
- Physically fit with the ability to lift 25 to 50 lbs.
