Overview
As a Tax Analyst, Co-op, you will gain practical experience across a variety of corporate tax functions while supporting key initiatives within Gallagher's Canadian operations. This role is ideal for a student pursuing a career in taxation, accounting, or finance who is eager to apply classroom learning in a dynamic, professional environment.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Preparation of corporate income tax returns
- Assistance with quarterly tax provisions
- Assistance with indirect tax returns
- Assistance with transfer pricing documentation and analysis
- Support for various ad hoc projects, such as due diligence and tax planning
About You
- Currently pursuing a university degree with a specialization in Tax or Accounting
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Familiarity with TaxPrep and/or AI tools is an asset
- Ability to commit to occasional extended work hours to meet critical deadlines, primarily during quarter-end periods; overtime worked during these periods will be compensated with time off in lieu
- Excellent organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail
- Strong time management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
