About GCX
GCX Contracting Ltd. is a Kelowna-based building maintenance, repair and construction company. We work for restoration project managers, property managers, facility managers and government clients across the Okanagan. We're growing fast and need someone to own project delivery.
The Role
You'll take over our restoration-client projects and government-style projects from start to finish. The two biggest parts of the job are delivering jobs and estimating jobs. You'll triage incoming work, run the day-to-day, and take it off the owner's plate so he can focus on clients and growth.
What You'll Do
- Run restoration and government/institutional projects from award to closeout: scheduling, crews, subtrades, materials, site visits, client updates and invoicing
- Estimate and quote jobs: site walks, scopes, pricing and proposals
- Triage incoming requests and work orders, set priorities and keep jobs moving
- Be the main point of contact for restoration PMs, property managers and facility managers on your projects
- Track costs, change orders and schedules in our job management system
- Keep sites safe and work compliant with WorkSafeBC and code requirements
What You Need
- Construction experience (required)
- Must know how to use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, etc.) in your daily work (required). We use AI heavily for estimating, scheduling and admin, and you will too
- 3+ years of construction project management and/or estimating experience
- Able to read drawings, write a scope and build an estimate
- Strong organizer who can juggle many small and mid-size jobs at once
- Clear, professional communicator with clients and trades
- Valid BC driver's licence
Nice to Have
- Insurance restoration or government/institutional project experience
- Xactimate experience
- Gold Seal, PMP or similar certification
Why GCX
- $80,000 to $100,000 salary based on experience
- Company vehicle or vehicle allowance
- Company phone and laptop
- A growing company where you'll own your projects and have real impact
- Modern, AI-supported tools: less paperwork, more getting jobs done
To apply: Submit your resume and a short note on the types of projects you've run and how you use AI in your work.
