Role Description The Senior Investment Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Toronto, ON. This role is responsible for conducting detailed financial analysis and building robust financial models to support investment decisions. Day-to-day tasks include performing investment research, evaluating market trends, conducting due diligence on potential opportunities, and preparing clear investment recommendations and reports. The Senior Investment Associate will collaborate with senior team members on deal execution, portfolio monitoring, and performance review, while contributing to investment committee materials and client presentations. The role requires proactive idea generation, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Strong Finance and Investments skills, with experience analyzing companies, sectors, and asset classes.
- Advanced Financial Modeling capabilities, including building and maintaining valuation, scenario, and sensitivity models.
- Excellent Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw clear, actionable conclusions.
- Proven Due Diligence experience, including qualitative and quantitative assessment of investment opportunities and risks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or professional designation (e.g., CFA, MBA) is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting investment theses and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- High level of integrity, professional judgment, and ability to work both independently and within a team-based environment.
- Proficiency with Excel and common financial research tools; familiarity with portfolio management or risk systems is beneficial.
