The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a Web Operations Coordinator to support the day-to-day operation, maintenance, testing, and optimization of Little Burgundy’s digital commerce ecosystem.
This is a junior role for someone who is highly detail-oriented, technically curious, proactive, and comfortable working across websites, marketing platforms, integrations, agencies, and internal technology teams.
You will play an important role in ensuring that website enhancements, platform updates, integrations, and digital initiatives are properly scoped, documented, tested, and launched. You will also help us get more value from our existing technology by identifying opportunities to improve functionality, processes, customer experience, and platform usage.
The ideal candidate does not need to be a developer, but should be comfortable working in a technical environment, investigating problems, understanding how systems connect, and communicating clearly with developers and technical partners.
How You Will Make an Impact:
Web Operations & Technical Project Support
- Support the day-to-day management, maintenance, and optimization of the Little Burgundy website and digital commerce platforms.
- Act as a key liaison between Little Burgundy, the Journeys Marketing Technology team, our Virid development agency, OMS partners, IT teams, and other technical vendors.
- Stay informed on technology updates, new capabilities, releases, and projects across the broader organization and identify opportunities that could be relevant for Little Burgundy.
- Coordinate website enhancements, technical requests, bug fixes, and platform updates from initial request through testing and deployment.
- Maintain a strong understanding of website functionality, business rules, integrations, and platform dependencies.
- Monitor open technical issues and support tickets and proactively drive them toward resolution.
- Escalate risks, blockers, defects, or launch concerns early and clearly.
Jira & Requirements Management
- Create and manage clear, complete Jira tickets for website enhancements, technical issues, bugs, and new functionality.
- Gather the necessary information from internal teams and technical stakeholders before submitting development requests.
- Document business requirements, acceptance criteria, dependencies, expected behavior, testing scenarios, and supporting assets.
- Ensure tickets contain enough information for development teams to action without unnecessary back-and-forth.
- Track Jira tickets through development, QA, deployment, and post-launch validation.
- Maintain clear communication with stakeholders on progress, timelines, dependencies, and outstanding issues.
QA, UAT & Site Testing
- Own User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for website enhancements and technical releases before deployment.
- Develop and follow thorough QA processes across desktop, mobile, browsers, customer states, and relevant devices.
- Test complete end-to-end customer journeys rather than individual functionality in isolation.
- Conduct regression testing when changes could affect existing site functionality.
- Validate promotional logic, loyalty functionality, customer experiences, integrations, links, tracking, content, and business rules.
- Clearly document defects with reproducible steps, screenshots, expected behaviour, and relevant technical information.
- Complete post-launch validation to ensure changes are functioning as expected in production.
- Continuously improve QA processes and testing documentation to reduce errors and rework.
Marketing Tech & Platform Support
- Support the ongoing management and optimization of platforms including MA, Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), Zeta/Loyalty, and other digital commerce and marketing technologies.
- Develop an understanding of how our platforms connect across ecommerce, CRM, loyalty, customer data, order management, and other integrations.
- Help troubleshoot cross-platform issues and determine where problems may be originating.
- Support SFMC execution, including email templates, personalization, content updates, and technical troubleshooting.
- Monitor platform updates, releases, integrations, and changes that could impact the customer experience or business operations.
- Partner with CRM, Analytics, Ecommerce, IT, and external vendors on platform implementations and technical projects.
- Help ensure Little Burgundy is fully leveraging its technology investments and identify opportunities to increase platform adoption, efficiency, customer value, and ROI.
Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Proactively identify site issues, friction points, technical limitations, and opportunities to improve the digital customer experience.
- Use analytics, testing results, customer behavior, and QA findings to validate outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
- Challenge existing processes when there is an opportunity to make them more efficient or reliable.
- Identify opportunities to better leverage current platform functionality before introducing new tools or processes.
- Stay curious about ecommerce and marketing technology developments and bring relevant ideas forward to the team.
- Help build documentation, testing standards, platform knowledge, and repeatable processes that improve the team's overall operational efficiency.
Experience and Skills You'll Bring:
- 1–3 years of experience in ecommerce, web operations, marketing technology, digital operations or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to testing and quality assurance.
- Highly reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple requests and priorities at the same time.
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to independently follow tasks and issues through to resolution.
- Comfortable investigating problems, asking the right questions, and working through ambiguity.
- Ability to understand how multiple platforms, systems, and integrations work together.
- Experience writing technical requirements, Jira tickets, user stories, acceptance criteria, or QA test cases is an asset.
- Experience with ecommerce platforms, CRM platforms, loyalty programs, or marketing technology is an asset.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is considered a strong asset.
- Basic working knowledge of HTML and CSS, with enough understanding to troubleshoot issues and make simple updates.
- Basic familiarity with JavaScript and web development concepts is an asset. Development expertise is not required.
- Comfortable testing websites using browser developer tools and across different browsers and devices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly when translating business needs into clear technical requirements.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with developers, agencies, marketers, analysts, and technical teams.
- Able to adapt quickly as priorities change while maintaining accuracy and follow-through.
- Curious, proactive, and motivated to continuously improve how technology is being used.
What Success Looks Like
In this role, success means becoming a trusted operational and technical partner for the Ecommerce team. Website and technology requests are clearly documented, thoroughly tested, and successfully launched. Issues are identified early and actively managed through resolution. Stakeholders have visibility into the status of projects and risks, and fewer problems require rework after launch.
Over time, you will develop a strong understanding of Little Burgundy’s digital technology ecosystem and proactively identify opportunities to improve our platforms, processes, customer experience, and the return we generate from our technology investments.
