What you will be doing:
- Establishes labor standards or reasonable expectancies and maintains labor management system (GWMS/Protrac/RedPrairie) to ensure accurate goal times for warehouse jobs
- Identifies savings opportunities and defines process improvement projects to drive costs out of operations
- Works with warehouse operations teams to educate on how standards work and how to use the labor-management information to increase productivity
- Conducts root cause analysis and develops data analysis tools, i.e. labor planning, slotting, etc. to assist operation management
- Travels up to 50% of the time within the Durham Region
- For food accounts, incumbent is responsible to report food safety problems to senior management to initiate action
- Supports GEODIS’ programs for Safety, Health, Environment, Quality , Ethics, Compliance, CSR and Sustainability

Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering or a related field of study from a 4-year accredited College or University
• Minimum 1 years of experience using engineered work measurement methods (such as MOST, MSD, Time Study, MTM)
• Ability to understand job descriptions and be able to use time measurement devices to estimate how much time it should take for someone to complete job
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, technical procedures and governmental regulations
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Ability to effectively communicate process and technical concepts to a variety of audiences from entry level warehouse employee to executive level
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and temperate climate conditions.
