About The Role
We are seeking reliable, hardworking individuals to join our team as General Yard Labourers. This role is primarily outdoor-based and plays a crucial part in maintaining our facility operations, ensuring site safety, and supporting our maintenance team year-round.
This entry-level role requires a strong safety mindset, solid work ethic, and the ability to perform moderately labour-intensive and repetitive tasks in an outdoor yard environment.
This is an excellent opportunity to grow and advance into other operational roles within the organization.
The standard work schedule is 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general housekeeping, pick up yard debris/garbage, pull weeds, and trim trees to keep the site clean and safe.
- Assist team members with basic tasks such as valve replacements, lighting changes, painting, and general facility upkeep.
- Handle winter snow removal duties, including shoveling sidewalks and operating snow blowers.
- Maintain facility cleanliness through general housekeeping and equipment upkeep.
- Conduct job hazard assessments and contribute to a strong safety culture.
- Deliver friendly, professional service and prompt support to facility visitors and customers.
- Ensure all visitors follow site safety protocols, including wearing proper PPE and remaining in designated safe areas.
- Complete routine cleaning and site organization tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- A valid Class 5 driver’s license with reliable transportation.
- Capability to handle physically demanding work, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work comfortably outdoors 80–90% of the time in various weather elements year-round.
- Willingness to be on-call as required (including holiday coverage support).
