Responsibilities
Coordinate dispatch and driver operations, including schedules, route reviews, vacation requests, equipment budgets, and supplies. Promote workplace and road safety through training, safety meetings, route observations, accident investigations, and timely customer service.
Requirements
Requires a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, 2–3 years of supervisory experience, and familiarity with several types of waste collection vehicles. Candidates should understand WHMIS and the Highway Traffic Act, be able to conduct vehicle inspections and accident investigations, and have strong communication, planning, and Microsoft Office skills; transportation or waste management experience is preferred.
