Role Description The Personal Lines Account Manager is a full-time hybrid role based in Sudbury, ON, with flexibility for some work from home. This role manages a portfolio of personal insurance clients, handling policy changes, renewals, and new business quotations while ensuring coverage is accurately tailored to client needs. The Account Manager responds to client inquiries, provides guidance on coverage options, processes endorsements, and supports claims reporting and follow-up. Day-to-day responsibilities include building strong client relationships, liaising with insurance carriers, preparing documentation, and maintaining up-to-date records in agency management systems. The role also involves identifying cross-selling opportunities, supporting marketing initiatives, and contributing to a collaborative, service-focused team environment.
Qualifications
- Strong Account Management skills, including managing a personal lines portfolio and maintaining accurate client records.
- Excellent Customer Service abilities with a focus on client advocacy, responsiveness, and relationship building.
- Knowledge of Personal Insurance products (e.g., home, auto, condo, tenant) and ability to advise clients on appropriate coverage.
- Understanding of Insurance practices and regulations, including working with multiple carriers and policy documentation.
- Relevant insurance licensing or designation (e.g., RIBO or equivalent) or eligibility to obtain within a defined timeframe.
- Proficiency with insurance management systems and standard office software (e.g., MS Office, CRM tools).
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing in-office collaboration in Sudbury, ON and independent work from home.
- Previous experience in a brokerage or similar insurance environment is preferred.
