Give Me A Break opens in Hamilton, Ontario in late fall 2026: a childcare centre built around on-demand care, booked by the hour, days, evenings and weekends, for children 18 months to 6 years.

Most daycares ask a family to fit their life around one full-day, five-day schedule. We were built the other way around. Alongside full-time and part-time enrolment, we offer on-demand care by the hour, including evenings and weekends, for parents working shifts, studying, job-hunting, building a business, or simply needing a few hours back.

What we offer:

• Full-time and part-time enrolment, Monday to Friday • On-demand hourly care into the evening on weekdays, plus Saturdays and Sundays • Three age-based programs for children 18 months to 6 years: Discovery Zone, Explorers Club and Trailblazers • On-demand care booked by the hour, with a two-hour minimum • Nutritious meals and snacks prepared on site • Two purpose-built program rooms and an outdoor play space, under construction now

Our approach is Reggio Emilia-inspired and grounded in How Does Learning Happen?, Ontario's pedagogical framework for licensed early learning. Children learn through inquiry, play, and real relationships with educators who know them well.

We operate as a licensed child care centre under Ontario's Child Care and Early Years Act.

Our waitlist is open now, ahead of the late fall 2026 opening, and there is no fee to join.
