Airports have to know how much de-icing glycol is leaving their property. Almost none of them can tell you in real time.

De-icing keeps winter aviation safe, and the runoff carries glycol into airport stormwater. Between Transport Canada requirements, federal effluent regulations and provincial permits, airports are accountable for what reaches the receiving water, but the standard method is still a person driving to an outfall with a bottle. The sample goes to a lab. Results come back days later. Between grab samples, nobody knows.

GlycoTech builds a continuous, field-deployable glycol monitor for airport stormwater. An electrochemical sensor reads concentration directly from the water, no reagents, no consumable cartridges, no lab. Battery-powered, weatherproof and cellular-connected, it is designed for multi-month unattended operation through a Canadian winter, reporting live readings and alerting the moment a number crosses a limit.

We are not trying to replace a lab analyzer in a shed. We are making it economical to instrument every outfall and basin on an airfield, the distributed picture nobody currently has.

Underneath, it is a water-quality sensing platform. Airport de-icing is where it starts; industrial water treatment and oil & gas produced water are the same problem in a different jacket.
