Role Description The Food Service Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Squamish, BC. This position is responsible for overseeing daily food service operations, including coordinating food preparation, monitoring food quality and safety, and ensuring timely, efficient service to guests or staff. The supervisor will schedule and direct food service workers, provide guidance and training, and help maintain clean, organized work areas that comply with health and safety regulations. The role involves collaborating with management to manage inventories, place orders, and support cost-effective use of food and beverage supplies. The Food Service Supervisor is expected to model excellent customer service, handle concerns or issues promptly, and support a positive, productive team environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong supervisory skills, including staff scheduling, task delegation, and performance oversight.
- Candidates should possess skills in food preparation and food & beverage handling, with an understanding of quality, safety, and presentation standards.
- Candidates should possess food service skills, including customer service, order coordination, and service flow management.
- Candidates should possess clear and professional communication skills for interacting with team members, management, and guests.
- Experience in a restaurant, cafeteria, or institutional food service environment, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
- Knowledge of local health, safety, and food handling regulations; valid food safety certification is an asset.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and reliability in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours as operational needs require.
