Golf Canada is looking for a collaborative, curious, and tech-savvy Coordinator, to help shape an exceptional employee experience for Golf Canada team members. This role combines core People and Culture support with recruitment, systems administration, process improvement, and digital enablement.
This role will support the People and Culture team and work directly with employees and leaders across the full employee lifecycle. PRIMARY DUTIES:
Recruitment (45%)
- Administer the Internship Program for Golf Canada.
- Work with hiring managers to assist with full-cycle recruitment of all internship positions.
- Assist hiring managers by facilitating full-time recruitment as required.
- Maintain recruitment records and communications for excellent candidate experiences.
- Oversee records of all job descriptions, job postings, and job boards.
- Conduct research and provide recommendations to enhance equitable and inclusive recruitment practices and create more diverse applicant pools.
- Participate in recruitment programs (virtual/in-person) such as school career fairs, etc.
- Assist with orientation programs and onboarding of all new staff and interns.
- Ensure the flow of information during the onboarding process is accurate and efficient between other areas of the business.
- Coordinate the Canada Summer Jobs Grant application process.
Human Resource Information System (40%)
- Uphold the integrity of the P&C profession by handling all personnel information in a confidential and discreet manner at all times
- Maintain all employee information in the HRIS for various reporting needs.
- Implement new modules and integrate current manual processes and workflows into the electronic HRIS system.
- Administer new employee information and existing employee files in the HRIS.
- Ensure timely review, sign-off, renewals, and record keeping of all required policies:
- Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct & Ethics, Drug and Alcohol Policy, and other policies as required.
- Ensure timely completion of all required training for staff and volunteers:
- H ealth and Safety Worker/Supervisor Training, AODA Compliance Training, EDI-Learning Training, RESPECT in the Workplace Training, RESPECT Training for Activity Leaders, Cyber Security Training, Safe Sport Training, First Aid Training, Fork Lift Training, and other training as required.
- Track, report and administer all staff screening records as required, to ensure compliance.
- Assist with reviewing and auditing policies and procedures to ensure all elements are reflected in our day-to-day practices as required by our policies and any gaps that may exist.
- Assist with implementing new training requirements (i.e. Safe Sport, etc.).
- Assist the P&C manager and payroll director by communicating staff changes on a bi-weekly basis.
- Review time off on a monthly basis for tracking purposes.
People and Culture Initiatives (15%)
Other Duties
- Support internal committee-related work as required (i.e. EDI Advisory Committee, Health and Safety Committee, Social Committee, etc.)
- Front desk duties as required
- Special assignments and projects as required (i.e. RBCCO/CPCKWO tournament week, employee recognition programs, managing caddy program, new staff announcements etc.).
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES:
- Post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to network and build relationships effectively.
- Team player, able to work effectively with others on a diverse team.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to self-motivate.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Working towards CHRP designation is considered an asset.
- Experience working with HRIS (Humi and ADP) is considered an asset.
- Bilingual (English and French) is considered an asset.
- Passion for sport (and golf!) is considered an asset.
Compensation Package:
- Annual Salary of $50,000 to $53,000 per year
- 2-week office closure during winter break
- Annual bonus (confirmed based on organizational performance)
- ½ Day Fridays in summer months
- Complimentary green fees after 3:00pm during the golf season at TPC Osprey Valley Golf Course
- 10% discounts on food and beverages at TPC Osprey Valley restaurants
