SUMMARY
GolfBC is looking for a detail-loving Payroll Manager to lead accurate, on-time payroll for approximately 800 Team Members across our golf and hospitality businesses. We support part-time, full-time, regular, and seasonal Team Members; spread across multiple businesses that work together in a fun, friendly, and fast-paced environment.
This 20-month fixed-term position is based at our Head Office in Vancouver and begins in late October or early November, ahead of maternity/parental leave beginning at the end of December.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead payroll for hourly and salaried Team Members across multiple businesses, with bi-weekly and semi-monthly pay schedules and significant seasonal volume.
- Coordinate the payroll aspects of onboarding and offboarding approximately 700 seasonal Team Members, including final pay, Records of Employment and benefits administration.
- Lead the transfer to ADP Workforce Now, including data validation, testing and launch.
- Prepare reports and analysis on labour costs, overtime, headcount and other workforce measures.
- Complete journal entries, reconciliations, remittances and year-end reporting, and provide records for audits.
- Coach and develop the Payroll Administrator, and help managers resolve questions about payroll, scheduling, time and attendance, and tax.
- Report to the Director of People and Culture and work closely with the Director of Finance.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- 7+ years of payroll experience
- Payroll Compliance Professional certificate
- Strong attention to detail
- Confident problem solver who works well independently in a fast-paced environment
- Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now, including system implementation, is a significant asset
- Experience managing high-volume, multi-location payroll; hospitality or seasonal workforce experience is an asset
- Takes initiative and follows through with a high level of accountability
- Interacts effectively with Team Members at all levels of the organization
- Shows tact and discretion when dealing with confidential information
- Remains calm, organized and accurate under tight deadlines
- Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of payroll best practices, CRA requirements, and the BC Employment Standards Act
