The Manitoba Student Aid Program provides needs-based financial assistance to help Manitobans pursue post-secondary education and training opportunities. The program supports students who may otherwise be unable to access higher education due to financial barriers and plays a key role in helping individuals achieve their educational and career goals.
Manitoba Advanced Education and Training is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a Supervisor position in Winnipeg.

Duties:
Reporting to the Manager of Operations, the Supervisor is responsible for employee supervision, training, onboarding, and scheduling. The position oversees daily program operations to ensure efficient service delivery, adequate staffing levels, and high-quality client service.
The Supervisor analyzes operational data, identifies opportunities for process improvements, and contributes to the development and implementation of program and policy initiatives. The incumbent provides guidance on policies, procedures, and complex client issues, resolves escalated concerns, and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to improve program delivery.
The Supervisor provides advice, analysis, and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making, planning strategies, and processes improvements related to the Manitoba Student Aid Program.

Qualifications:
Essential:
- Post-secondary education in Social Sciences, Business Administration, Project Management or a related field; a suitable combination of education and work experience may be considered.
- Leadership experience including supervising, onboarding, training and scheduling a team responsible for providing frontline client services through multiple channels.
- Experience interpreting and explaining complex policies and regulations such as the Student Aid Act.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and in partnership with a variety of stakeholders including clients or members of the public.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage numerous projects and files simultaneously.
- Strong political acumen and the ability to manage confidential and politically sensitive material and situations in an appropriate manner.
- Excellent English verbal communication skills.
- Excellent English written communication skills.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Desired:
- Knowledge of post-secondary education and training in Manitoba, including Private Vocational Institutions, Public Post-Secondary Education or Manitoba Student Aid.
- Knowledge of the Manitoba Student Aid Program (MSAP) and Canada Student Financial Assistance Program (CSFAP).
