Compensation:

This is a fixed-term opportunity lasting a minimum of 18 months. The hourly rate for this role ranges between $23.12 - $31.78, and includes 4% vacation pay.

The pay range above is not a guarantee of compensation but reflects the potential total compensation for this role at the time of this posting based on the assigned job grade. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as geographic work location, relevant experience and individual skills. The stated range is a reasonable estimate and may change over time; final compensation may fall above or below the range provided. Position Details

Branch Sales Associates provide solutions and easily connect with branch walk-in customers. The Sales Associate objective is to capitalize on sales opportunities, create customer loyalty, and exceed customer expectations by using their guidance, knowledge, computer acumen, and winning attitude. Branch Sales Associates have excellent all-around communication skills as well as the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.The role lives and demonstrates the Grainger Principles: Starting with the Customer, Embrace Curiosity, Act with Intent, Compete with Urgency, Win as One Team, Invest in our Success and Do the Right Thing

You Will

Ownership of the entire customer experience. This includes appropriate product selection, accurate order entry and maintenance, accurately and safely picking product, and safely loading customer vehicle as needed.
Consistently performs actions with branch sales focus to capitalize on sales opportunities and encourage customer loyalty to deliver revenue targets
Learn and easily navigate through various computer systems and applications for customer facing and warehouse activities
Agility to shift focus seamlessly from assisting customers to other various branch tasks including performing warehouse and showroom related tasks safely for pickup or shipping
Perform housekeeping duties as needed to ensure branch appearance meets Grainger standards

You Have

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience preferred
A valid driver's license in good standing
1+ years experience in related field preferred
Flexibility to work any time within branch hours of operation
Own your personal development, accept feedback, and be proactive with your leader to support your growth
Ability to work in a position requiring continuous standing and walking, ability to lift up to 25lbs unassisted on a regular basis, ability to safely learn and operate powered industrial equipment, successful and timely completion of initial and ongoing training as required

The position may require you to attend at our customers’ sites. Some customers may have alcohol and drug screening policies for on-site contractors and vendors. You may be required to submit to such customer screening procedures as and when requested as a condition of being permitted on such sites.
