Compensation
This is a fixed-term opportunity lasting a minimum of 18 months. The hourly rate for this role ranges between $23.12 - $31.78, and includes 4% vacation pay.
The pay range above is not a guarantee of compensation but reflects the potential total compensation for this role at the time of this posting based on the assigned job grade. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as geographic work location, relevant experience and individual skills. You Will
- Own the entire customer experience. This includes appropriate product selection, accurate order entry and maintenance, accurately and safely picking product, and safely loading customer vehicle as needed.
- Consistently perform actions with branch sales focus to capitalize on sales opportunities and encourage customer loyalty to deliver revenue targets
- Learn and easily navigate through various computer systems and applications for customer facing and warehouse activities
- Shift focus seamlessly from assisting customers to other various branch tasks including performing warehouse and showroom related tasks safely for pickup or shipping
- Perform housekeeping duties as needed to ensure branch appearance meets Grainger standards
- Promote Company products and services to customers and provide substitutions where required
- Provide customer updates when required on delivery, lead times, quotes, etc.
- Other duties as assigned including travel to customer sites as required
You Have
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience preferred
- A valid driver's license in good standing
- 1+ years experience in related field preferred
- Flexibility to work any time within branch hours of operation
- Own your personal development, accept feedback, and be proactive with your leader to support your growth
- Ability to work in a position requiring continuous standing and walking, ability to lift up to 25lbs unassisted on a regular basis, ability to safely learn and operate powered industrial equipment, successful and timely completion of initial and ongoing training as required
The position may require you to attend at our customers’ sites. Some customers may have alcohol and drug screening policies for on-site contractors and vendors. You may be required to submit to such customer screening procedures as and when requested as a condition of being permitted on such sites.
