Position Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Food & Beverage, this position leads by example and provides exemplary service to casino guests in a fast paced environment. This position is a dual role, working prim arily as a Server with the responsibility for light supervisory duties in the absence of a manager or supervisor (typically for only part of a shift - e.g., the last 2 hours of a shift). Must be collaborative, excel at multi-tasking and di splay exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ensures adherence to the Company�s policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian�s learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities
- Provides full table service following established standards of service
- Cleans, buses and sets tables
- Performs other cleaning duties as required
including Server-side duties
- First point of contact for customer escalations including assessing situations for voiding or comping a meal
- Responds to basic team member questions/issues
- Responsible to check the phone for sick
calls, may be required to call in replacements
- Responsible for assigning sections to servers, bartenders and hosts (if applicable)
- Responsible for basic shift training and orientation for new team members from time to time

Responsible for organizing EOs (early outs) if necessary
- Responsible for ensuring basic opening or closing duties/checklist is completed, following up with co-workers if necessary
- Works as a member of the team and provides suppo
rt to co-workers on shift to ensure an overall exceptional guest experience for all casino guests
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations

Education and Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Proven leadership skills and qualities
- Must exhibit strong sales and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize
- WHMIS training an asset
- Works quickly and efficiently under pressure in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Must be able to commit to offering our guests the highest level of guest service
- Works well both independently as we
ll as in a team environment
- Cash handling experience required
- Point of sales experience required; Micros knowledge is an asset
- Must be able to easily communicate with our guests about Responsible Beverage Service and recogn
ize the signs of possible intoxication
- Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
