🚨 Hiring: Head of Test Facility and Process Engineering | Ontario, Canada
I’m currently supporting a clean technology company in Ontario that is looking for an experienced Head of Test Facility and Process Engineering to lead the operation and development of a water electrolysis and deuterium extraction test facility.
This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role with a clear path toward becoming the company’s next CTO.
The successful candidate will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the leadership team, with the opportunity to grow into the CTO role as the company continues to scale.
What they’re looking for:
- 10+ years of chemical/process engineering experience
- 5+ years of management experience
- Experience commissioning and/or operating chemical plants or test facilities
- Strong experience with process design, PFDs, P&IDs, HAZOP/HAZID and process safety
- Experience with hydrogen, electrolysis, or explosive gases is highly relevant
- Professional Engineering license in Canada required
- Strong technical writing and leadership skills
- Candidates with established Canadian engineering experience are preferred
- Stable career history with several years in previous positions is important
Compensation & Benefits:
- Above competitive CAD base salary
- Up to 25% bonus

- Relocation support available, including potential support of up to $10K CAD, depending on circumstances
The Opportunity
The initial team will be approximately 2–4 people, with potential for significant growth.
This role is suited to an experienced engineer who wants to take full ownership of a facility and its technical operations, from process design and engineering through commissioning, SOP development, process safety, and ongoing operations.
Most importantly, the company is looking for someone they can trust to take ownership of the plant and make sound technical and safety decisions independently.
