Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on and business-focused Data Analyst to support data-driven decision-making across our Life Insurance operations.
The role will support Sales, Care & Support, and Lead Management through performance reporting, data analysis, process automation, and actionable insights. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders to monitor performance, investigate trends, and identify opportunities to improve sales effectiveness, customer retention, and operational efficiency.
This role is suited to an analyst who is comfortable working independently with data while continuing to develop their strategic and commercial analytics capability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Lead Analytics – 20%
- Monitor lead performance, contact rates, conversion, sales performance, and advisor productivity.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and recurring performance reporting.
- Analyze lead sources, customer segments, and sales funnel performance to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Support sales optimization, lead allocation, capacity planning, and performance analysis.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support Sales and Lead Management initiatives.
2. Care & Retention Analytics – 50%
- Analyze post-sales customer and policyholder performance to identify drivers of retention, persistency, and customer experience.
- Monitor and report on key Care & Support metrics, including retention, lapse, service levels, and customer engagement.
- Conduct customer, cohort, and root-cause analysis to identify performance drivers.
- Support the development and measurement of customer retention initiatives.
- Partner with Care & Support teams to identify operational improvement opportunities and measure outcomes.
3. Reporting, Automation & Data Quality – 20%
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and automated reporting solutions.
- Use SQL and Python to extract, transform, validate, and analyze data.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual reporting and improve reporting efficiency through automation.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure reporting accuracy.
- Maintain clear KPI definitions, reporting documentation, and analytical methodologies.
4. Business & Knowledge Support – 10%
- Support ad-hoc analytical requests across Sales, Care & Support, and Lead Management.
- Document key business processes, analytical methodologies, and reporting frameworks.
- Support knowledge-sharing and knowledge-transfer activities across teams.
- Provide analytical support for new market initiatives as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related analytical role.
- Experience in Life Insurance, Financial Services, Sales Analytics, Customer Analytics, or another regulated industry is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong SQL skills, including Microsoft SQL Server / T-SQL.
- Working knowledge of Python for data analysis and automation.
- Proficiency with Power BI and/or Tableau.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with automated reporting, data validation, and ETL processes.
- Working knowledge of statistical analysis and A/B testing is desirable.
- Familiarity with AI/ML tools and concepts is considered a nice-to-have.
