Position Overview
Under the direction of the Food & Beverage Outlets Manager and Supervisor, the High Limit Gaming Room Server is responsible for providing exceptional, personalized food and beverage service within the Smoking and Non-Smoking High Limit Gaming Rooms.
The High Limit Gaming Room Server provides attentive and discreet service to VIP and high-value guests while anticipating individual preferences and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. The position requires strong product knowledge, cultural awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver seamless food and beverage service within a premium gaming environment.
The Server is responsible for complying with all applicable Company policies, procedures, AGLC requirements, food safety, sanitation, and health and safety requirements. All necessary precautions must be taken to protect the health and safety of guests and employees and to ensure safe work practices are followed at all times.
Responsibilities Include
- Provide exceptional, personalized guest service consistent with the Company’s core service standards, values, and brand expectations.
- Provide attentive, discreet, and professional service to VIP and high-value guests.
- Anticipate guest needs and preferences and provide personalized recommendations whenever appropriate.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of food and beverage menus, pricing, promotions, hours of operation, and available services.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter orders into the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly, accurately, and professionally.
- Maintain appropriate table and side-table service throughout the guest experience, including clearing used glassware, dishes, and service items.
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness, organization, presentation, and service readiness throughout assigned High Limit areas.
- Complete required mise en place and ensure appropriate supplies are available before, during, and after each shift.
- Maintain strong knowledge of premium service etiquette and High Limit Gaming Room service expectations.
- Handle special guest requests and accommodations promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with VIP Hosts, Culinary, Bar, Gaming, and other employees to provide a seamless and personalized guest experience.
- Maintain awareness of guest preferences and communicate relevant service information appropriately to support service continuity.
- Process guest transactions accurately and complete required cash-out and reconciliation procedures at the end of each shift.
- Assist with maintaining appropriate FOH inventory and supply levels based on anticipated business volumes.
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with guests, Food & Beverage employees, VIP Services, Gaming employees, and other Casino departments.
- Communicate guest concerns, special requests, operational issues, or matters requiring additional assistance to the Supervisor or Manager.
- Ensure all applicable AGLC requirements, Company policies, departmental procedures, and responsible liquor service standards are followed.
- Report to work on time, prepared for the scheduled shift, and in compliance with established uniform, hygiene, grooming, and appearance standards.
- Attend required meetings, training sessions, and development programs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education And Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of serving experience, preferably within a high-volume restaurant, casino, hotel, premium dining, or VIP service environment.
- Valid Alberta ProServe certification required.
- Food Safety and WHMIS certification required or must be obtained within established organizational timelines.
- Knowledge of premium food and beverage service and dining etiquette is preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of Asian cultures, cuisine, and dining customs is an asset.
- Ability to communicate in Cantonese and/or Mandarin, in addition to English, is a preferred asset.

- Must be available to work varied shifts based on High Limit Gaming Room business volumes, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift or carry items weighing up to approximately 50 lbs.
