Role Description The Owner role at CIBC in Milton, ON is a full-time, on-site position responsible for overseeing day-to-day branch operations and delivering an excellent client experience. The Owner will lead and coach team members, set priorities, and ensure that service standards, compliance requirements, and operational procedures are consistently met. This role involves building and maintaining client relationships, identifying financial needs, and connecting clients to suitable CIBC products and services. The Owner will monitor performance metrics, manage risk, and drive business growth through local market outreach and collaboration with partners. Daily responsibilities also include decision-making on resource allocation, problem-solving for client and operational issues, and fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture.
Qualifications
- Experience in retail banking or financial services, including client relationship management and sales leadership.
- Strong skills in team leadership, performance coaching, and day-to-day staff management.
- Proficiency in operational oversight, risk management, and regulatory or compliance practices within a financial environment.
- Ability to analyze business results, set priorities, and drive branch growth and profitability.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills to support clients and colleagues.
- Comfort with banking technology, digital tools, and data-driven decision-making.
- Proven ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment and make sound, timely decisions.
- Post-secondary education in business, finance, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
