Role Description The Bartender – Serveur – Busboy role at Groupe Social is a full-time or part time, on-site position based in Montreal, QC. Day-to-day responsibilities include greeting guests, taking orders, and serving food and beverages in a timely and courteous manner. The role involves preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, handling cash and payment transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized bar and dining area. The team member will clear and reset tables, assist with stocking supplies, support opening and closing duties, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth service. This position requires adherence to health, safety, and responsible service guidelines while upholding Groupe Social’s standards for guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Strong Customer Service skills with a focus on friendliness, attentiveness, and guest satisfaction.
- Effective Communication skills for interacting with guests and team members in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Food & Beverage service, including basic menu understanding and safe handling practices.
- Cash Handling experience, including processing payments accurately and responsibly.
- Bartending skills, such as preparing standard cocktails, pouring drinks responsibly, and following alcohol service regulations.
- Previous experience in a restaurant, bar, café, or similar hospitality setting is an asset.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry items, and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Basic proficiency in French and English is required to serve a diverse clientele.
