Original job description

Optician

IRIS VICTORIA, BC

Are you an experienced Optician with a passion for leadership, patient care, and business growth?

We're seeking a Sales Manager Lead to support and inspire our teams across two thriving locations, IRIS Sidney and IRIS Langford.

This full-time, shared leadership role offers the opportunity to drive sales performance, mentor team members, elevate the patient experience while support the Store Mangers to shape the ongoing success of both clinics.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Store Manager to develop sales strategies, coach optical staff, identify growth opportunities and foster a culture of excellence in customer care.

This position is ideal for an Optician who enjoys building relationships, leading by example and creating high-performing teams while remaining actively involved in patient care.

This is an especially exciting time to join these locations. Both practices have recently been refreshed to enhance the patient and team experience.

IRIS Langford (655) has recently been repainted, creating a bright and welcoming environment, while IRIS Sidney (654) has just completed a full renovation and expansion, providing a beautiful, modern space designed to support future growth and exceptional patient care.

As two of the longest standing locations within the Vancouver Island IRIS family, Sidney and Langford offer an exceptional platform for leadership growth. Both clinics consistently rank among the Island's top-performing locations and benefit from dedicated on-site Optometrist Partners who value collaborative patient care. Combined with support from a registered Optician Regional Manager with an extensive IRIS tenure and proven success developing high-performing teams.

At IRIS, you'll have the resources, mentorship and autonomy to make a meaningful impact across both locations.

Located in two of Vancouver Island's most desirable communities, this role offers the best of both worlds. Sidney is a charming seaside town known for its walkable waterfront, vibrant local shops, and relaxed coastal lifestyle, while Langford offers a dynamic, growing community with modern amenities and easy access to lakes, hiking trails, golf courses, and outdoor recreation. Together, these locations provide an exceptional opportunity to advance your career while enjoying the natural beauty and quality of life that make Vancouver Island such a sought-after place to live and work.
