Role Description The Appliance Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. This position is responsible for diagnosing issues, performing maintenance, and repairing a variety of home appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, stoves, and ovens. Day-to-day tasks include visiting customer locations, assessing equipment condition, identifying faults, replacing parts, testing systems, and documenting all work performed. The technician will communicate clearly with customers about service options, estimated timelines, and proper appliance care, while maintaining professional and respectful interactions. The role also involves adhering to safety standards, keeping tools and service vehicles organized, and collaborating with the office team to schedule and complete service calls efficiently.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Maintenance & Repair skills, including experience servicing major home appliances.
- Candidates should possess proven Troubleshooting abilities to identify mechanical, electrical, and operational issues efficiently.
- Candidates should possess Field Service experience, including performing on-site visits and working independently in customer locations.
- Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and ensure a positive service experience.
- Candidates should possess general Maintenance capabilities, including routine inspections, preventive service, and safe handling of tools and equipment.
- Relevant technical training or certification in appliance repair, electrical, or mechanical trades is beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are preferred for traveling to customer sites within the Greater Toronto Area.
- Ability to lift and move heavy appliances safely and follow all workplace health and safety guidelines.
- Previous experience in residential or commercial appliance service is an asset.
