We are looking for a Manager of Operations & HR to help lead the operational and people side of our fast-growing haptics and Physical AI company. This is a high-visibility role reporting directly into leadership (and potentially the board), ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of operations, people, and technology.
About Haply
Haply Robotics builds the world's most precise haptic devices. Our products (Inverse3, VerseGrip, MinVerse, Haply Hub, HARP) are deployed across research labs, industrial integration projects, and production environments where the difference between "good" and "right" is measured in milliseconds and millinewtons. As robots and autonomous systems become more capable, humans still need intuitive ways to teach, guide, and supervise physical tasks. Haply builds the platform that allows people to program and train machines through touch and motion.
About the Role
As we grow, we need someone who can bring structure, culture, and momentum to our operations and people functions, someone who can hold the day-to-day together while also helping shape how we scale as a team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day intra-team communication and coordination across departments
- Plan and manage shipping/receiving logistics
- Maintain and improve office operations and facilities
- Coordinate with our Director of Finance to stay current on relevant financial updates
- Plan and oversee logistics for conferences and trade shows, including on-site attendance
- Organize company events: leadership offsites, team-building activities, office happy hours, and celebrations
- Manage HR functions: onboarding, hiring coordination and outreach filtering, corporate policy updates, and compliance
- Build and maintain relationships with the team, working on behalf of the company to strengthen employee relations
- Track compensation trends in the market and identify personnel-related risks or gaps
- Update onboarding documentation, technology, and access/visibility permissions as needed
- Leverage AI tools to build dashboards and evaluate company operations, reporting insights to leadership and the board
Must Have
- 7+ years of experience (some flexibility for candidates with strong aptitude and adaptability)
- Background in Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or HR
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- High willingness and aptitude to learn and apply AI tools to streamline workflows and visualize company processes
- Comfortable working across technical and non-technical teams
- Prior experience with corporate operations, project/process oversight is a plus
Nice to Have
- Background in software, engineering, or operations
- Experience or strong interest in applying technology to manage company-wide systems: overseeing processes, projects, and ensuring adherence to workflows across teams
Why Join Us?
- Shape how Haply scales. As we grow, you'll have a direct hand in building the people, processes, and operating systems that support the next stage of the company.
- Work directly with leadership. This is a high-visibility role with direct access to the executive team and exposure to board-level priorities.
- Own the function. You'll have significant autonomy across People and Operations, with the mandate to identify problems, build solutions, and continuously improve how the company operates.
- Build, don't just administer. We're looking for someone who uses technology, AI, data, and automation to make HR and operations smarter, not someone who simply maintains existing processes.
- Work across the entire company. You'll collaborate with engineering, product, finance, sales, and leadership, giving you a unique view into how the business operates.
- Join at an inflection point. Haply is scaling quickly, and you'll help build the organizational foundation required to grow without losing the speed, ownership, and culture of a startup.
- Help build the company behind Physical AI. You'll be enabling the people and teams developing technology at the intersection of robotics, haptics, and AI.
