Working alongside experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams, you'll contribute to meaningful infrastructure projects while building the skills and experience needed to advance your career. This opportunity is based in our Stoney Creek, ON office.
Junior Structural Engineer
What You’ll Do
- Analysis and design of bridges, marine structures, cofferdams, and retaining walls.
- Construction and erection engineering for structural projects.
- Preliminary design development and option analysis.
- Preparation of drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
- Writing technical engineering reports.
- Conducting site visits, construction reviews, and attending project meetings
- Preparing proposals.
- Coordinating with structural drafting teams.
- Managing project assignments.
- Supporting business development efforts alongside senior staff.
What You Bring
- Registered, or eligible for registration, as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Engineer in Training (EIT) in a Canadian province.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s considered an asset).
- Strong technical background in structural engineering.
- Familiarity with CSA S6 (Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code).
- Working knowledge of structural analysis tools and finite element modeling software.
