Role Description The Store Assistant is a full-time, on-site position based in Vancouver, BC. This role supports daily store operations, including welcoming customers, answering questions, and helping them select flooring products that meet their needs. The Store Assistant assists with retail sales activities, processes transactions, maintains clean and organized product displays, and restocks inventory as needed. This role also involves learning product features, supporting promotional activities, and following company procedures for store opening and closing. The Store Assistant collaborates with the store team, participates in training, and contributes to a positive, respectful, and safety-conscious environment.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to engage customers, understand their needs, and provide clear product information.
- Experience or interest in Retail Sales, with the ability to support customers through the buying process and handle point-of-sale transactions accurately.
- Solid Organization Skills to maintain tidy displays, manage stock on the sales floor, and follow store procedures efficiently.
- Ability to support and participate in Training, including learning product knowledge and store processes and sharing information with team members.
- High level of reliability, professionalism, and integrity, with a focus on punctuality and teamwork.
- Comfort with standing for extended periods and performing light physical tasks such as lifting and moving flooring samples.
- Previous experience in retail or customer-facing roles is an asset but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays based on store needs.
