Looking to get the most out of your upcoming internship?
Hatch is seeking a Planner Co-op Student for a 4-month internship beginning in January 2027. Reporting to the Project Controls Manager in the Project Management & Construction group you will support offices globally working from our Mississauga, ON office location.
What Will an Internship at Hatch Offer You:
You will:
- Compile the Baseline schedule then track the schedule and make necessary changes to schedule as required.
- Gather schedule progress and develop / update Earned Value Management on Weekly and Monthly basis.
- Report Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) as required to Management internally and the client.
- Develop schedule forecasts to foresee problem areas on the schedule and notify management if it affects the critical path.
- Break schedule down into shorter terms for easier management and tracking (example: 90 day lookahead)
- Track actual hours, costs and progress of activities and compare them to the budgeted hours and costs for each work section and report accordingly.
- Monitor all change and implement a rigorous Trend & Change Management Process
- Compare percentage completion to date and costs for each work section to predict potential cost and hours over runs and/or under runs as applicable.
You bring to the role:
- Currently enrolled in an Engineering degree program at an accredited University
- The ideal candidate will have interest in developing and maintaining detailed engineering schedule and earned value metrics
- Knowledge of P6 V8.1 or Microsoft Project
- Previous experience as Planner/Scheduler

Compensation: Range: $26.00 - $34.00

Your individual compensation within this range will depend on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications and location.
