Your New Role
As an Application Modernization Developer, you will play a key role in modernizing enterprise applications and reducing technical debt across complex technology environments. You will contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening the organization's security posture, accelerating vulnerability remediation efforts, and improving the reliability and maintainability of business-critical solutions.
You will be responsible for designing, developing, and modernizing Java-based applications leveraging Spring technologies and AWS cloud services. Working within Agile delivery teams, you will help implement modern development practices, automated testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and secure software development standards while supporting the migration and modernization of legacy applications.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contribute to strategic modernization initiatives focused on security improvements and technology debt reduction.
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance applications built using Java and the Spring ecosystem.
- Develop and support APIs and microservices architectures.
- Build and maintain cloud-native and serverless solutions within AWS environments.
- Implement automated testing strategies including unit, integration, regression, and UI testing.
- Support vulnerability management programs and secure development practices.
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation capabilities.
- Develop event-driven and distributed application architectures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Leverage AI-assisted development practices where appropriate to improve development efficiency while maintaining security and quality standards.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent discipline.
- Minimum 12 years of software development experience.
- Extensive experience delivering application modernization initiatives, including technology upgrades, technical debt reduction, automation, and platform modernization.
- Expert-level Java development experience.
- Strong experience with the Spring ecosystem, including:
- Spring Boot
- Spring Framework
- Spring Security
- Significant experience developing APIs and microservices-based solutions.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including managed services and serverless architectures.
- Experience designing, developing, and supporting distributed and event-driven systems.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD tools, DevOps practices, and deployment automation.
- Experience implementing comprehensive automated testing strategies covering unit, integration, regression, and UI testing.
- Proven experience in vulnerability management and secure software development methodologies.
- Knowledge of AI-assisted software development practices and their application in secure development and modernization initiatives.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French.
