Our client is a growing real estate owner, developer, and property management firm with a diversified portfolio of residential and commercial assets across the Greater Montreal Area. Known for its entrepreneurial culture and hands-on approach to property operations, the organization is seeking a Commercial Property Manager to join its team.
Your new role
Reporting to the Operations Team, you will oversee the day-to-day management and operation of a commercial property portfolio. You will serve as the primary point of contact for tenants while ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of the properties.
- Building and maintaining strong tenant relationships through proactive communication and responsive service.
- Responding to tenant requests and coordinating repairs and maintenance through internal staff and external contractors.
- Following up on service requests to ensure issues are resolved efficiently and to tenant satisfaction.
- Coordinating with tenants, vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to address operational challenges and implement operational initiatives.
- Managing all tenant communications and correspondence.
- Ensuring compliance with fire, life safety, health, and environmental standards.
- Conducting property inspections and monitoring contractor performance to ensure service levels are maintained.
- Managing incident reporting, service audits, and operational non-conformities.
- Assisting with the oversight of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
- Supporting the Operations Team with additional property management and operational initiatives as required.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in commercial, retail, office, or mixed-use property management.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Bilingual in English and French, both written and spoken.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Strong customer service skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
