Role Description The Truck Driver role at Hearn Industrial Services is a part-time, on-site position based in Windsor, ON. The Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating company trucks to transport goods between client locations, warehouses, and other facilities. Day-to-day tasks include conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, following assigned routes and schedules, complying with DOT regulations, and maintaining accurate delivery and mileage records. The role involves loading and unloading materials, securing cargo to prevent damage, and communicating with dispatch and site personnel to coordinate pickups and deliveries. The Truck Driver is expected to uphold safety standards, keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained, and represent the company professionally with customers and partners.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license and proven truck driving experience, including safe operation of commercial trucks.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements for commercial drivers.
- Experience with loading, unloading, and securing cargo using appropriate equipment and safety practices.
- Strong safety awareness and ability to perform thorough vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks.
- Good communication skills, reliability, and the ability to follow routes, schedules, and written instructions.
- Clean driving record and ability to meet all company and regulatory eligibility requirements.
- Physical ability to handle manual tasks associated with driving, loading, and unloading materials.
- Previous experience in industrial, automotive, or logistics environments is an asset.
