Position Overview
As a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse for our Flu/COVID Vaccination Clinics, you will play a key role in administering flu and COVID-19 vaccinations to individuals in the Campbell River and Courtenay areas.
This is a temporary part-time opportunity for nurses looking for flexible seasonal work while gaining experience in community healthcare and public health delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer flu and COVID-19 vaccinations to patients following established protocols and procedures.
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient information and vaccination details.
- Provide excellent patient care and address any questions or concerns related to vaccinations.
- Collaborate with our healthcare team to support efficient clinic operations.
Seasonal Schedule
The Flu/COVID vaccination clinics will operate from October to January, with our current hiring needs focused on October 13 to November 6.
We are specifically looking for nurses who can work Monday to Friday during this period. Shifts will be scheduled based on clinic needs and your availability.
Qualifications
- Valid registration and in good standing with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Previous experience administering vaccinations is an asset but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Empathetic and patient-centered approach to healthcare.
