Role Description The Founding Account Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Calgary Metropolitan Area. This role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with MSPs, resellers, and SMB customers, acting as a primary point of contact for their ongoing needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing a portfolio of accounts, understanding client business requirements, coordinating platform onboarding, and ensuring customers gain maximum value from Helm Security’s solutions. The Founding Account Manager will track account performance, identify opportunities for growth and expansion, and collaborate with internal teams such as product, engineering, and support to address customer feedback and resolve issues. This role also involves supporting sales efforts, participating in customer meetings and demos, and contributing to early go-to-market processes as a founding team member.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in account management, customer success, or client-facing roles within technology, SaaS, or cybersecurity environments.
- Strong skills in relationship building, stakeholder communication, and expectation management, with the ability to represent customer needs internally.
- Ability to understand and explain technical products and security concepts in clear, accessible language for non-technical and technical audiences.
- Proven capability in organizing workflows, prioritizing multiple accounts, and using CRM or account management tools to track activities and outcomes.
- Experience in identifying upsell or cross-sell opportunities, supporting sales processes, and contributing to revenue growth strategies.
- Comfort operating in an early-stage or startup environment, including adapting to evolving processes and contributing to playbooks and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including gathering feedback, translating it into actionable insights, and partnering with product teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are an asset for working with diverse customer bases.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Interest in cybersecurity and managed security services, with a willingness to continually learn about industry trends, tools, and threats.
