WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Lead the quarterly corporate income tax provision process, including tax calculations, reconciliations, supporting schedules and related financial reporting.
- Coordinate annual corporate income tax compliance, including tax returns, disclosures and supporting schedules, working with internal stakeholders and external tax advisors.
- Support and coordinate CRA and provincial/territorial tax audits and inquiries, ensuring accurate documentation and timely responses.
- Lead full-cycle accounting and financial reporting for assigned subsidiaries and divisions, including month-end close, general ledger, reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
- Coordinate external and internal audits and maintain strong SOX, accounting and internal control compliance.
- Partner with Canadian and U.S. Finance teams, auditors and professional advisors while supporting process improvements and the financial integration of new subsidiaries and divisions.
WHAT YOU BRING
- A professional accounting designation (CPA; legacy CA designation preferred) with post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Previous experience within a publicly traded company is required, along with experience working in a larger, complex corporate organization.
- Strong hands-on corporate tax accounting experience, including income tax provisions, corporate tax compliance, tax-related financial reporting and tax audits.
- Progressive accounting experience within a multi-entity, multi-division or multinational environment, with strong technical accounting and financial reporting capabilities.
- Experience working within a strong internal control environment; SOX and public accounting experience are highly preferred.
- Strong analytical, technology and communication skills, including advanced Excel, with the ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

*This position is based in our Corporate Head Office Branch, and is a hybrid work arrangement.
Compensation: The posted range for this position is $93,400 – $116,400, which is the expected salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role, in addition to an annual bonus. Many factors go into determining pay within the posted range including education, prior experience, training, skills, certifications, location/labour market, internal equity, etc
