Role Description The Sales Associate is a full-time, on-site role based at Heritage Ford Sales Limited in Scarborough, ON. In this position, the Sales Associate engages with customers in the showroom and on the lot, actively listening to their needs and guiding them through vehicle options, features, and pricing. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting test drives, explaining financing and leasing options, preparing sales quotes, and supporting customers through the purchase process from initial inquiry to delivery. The role involves maintaining up-to-date product knowledge, following up with leads and existing customers, and using dealership systems to document interactions and manage sales activities. The Sales Associate collaborates with colleagues in sales, service, and finance to ensure a positive, seamless experience for every customer while meeting individual and team sales goals.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to listen, communicate clearly, and provide a welcoming experience.
- Sales and negotiation abilities, including comfort discussing pricing, options, and closing deals in a professional and ethical manner.
- Basic financial and product knowledge, with the capacity to learn vehicle features, warranties, and financing or leasing options.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple customer interactions, follow-ups, and documentation accurately.
- Comfort using computers and dealership software for CRM, inventory, and sales documentation.
- Previous experience in automotive sales, retail sales, or a customer-facing role is an asset.
- Ability to work on-site in Scarborough, ON, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to conduct test drives safely.
